I'm Akhil Sundaram, currently a graduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign studying Computer Science. My focus over the past year has been on distributed computing, storage, real time systems, security, and systems in general.
Before UIUC, I spent four years as a senior engineer at LogMeIn/GoTo working across devops and special projects teams. I built scalable cloud infrastructure, worked on disaster recovery, cloud security, patching systems, cross-cloud migrations, and performance optimizations - tackled complex system challenges. Now, I'm exploring how to push the boundaries of large-scale computing, optimizing resource allocation and performance in distributed applications.
